If you’re planning your wedding, you’ll have plenty on your mind. Not least is how you’ll look as the groom and how you want your groomsmen to look.
Before you rush off to your local tailor’s, you might want to take a look at the extraordinary world of Senszio, where you can rely on over three decades of family-run expertise. Here, everything is inspired by you and you get your suits custom-made by master craftsmen.
Even better: we come to you. Four times a year, we visit over 20 cities across the US and Europe to ensure our international clientele consistently look the part.
It’s all about trunkshows, and here’s how they work.
At a recent trunkshow in Los Angeles, the groom booked a suite at the Four Seasons LA. His groomsmen came over, we measured them, they picked out their fabrics and we individually customized their style for each of their suits. There were rumours of a small celebratory party after we left.
Of course, we don’t leave it there. Everything must be perfect for your big day, so you’ll also be entitled to a fitting review when you receive your order. We’ll then fine-tune to make sure everything’s tip-top and set to wow.
Of course, we can also host you at our hotel suite or come to your home.
We custom-make suits for both grooms and groomsmen (or ‘ushers’ in the UK). On this page, you’ll see some examples our clients have sent us from across the world.
Typically, grooms elect for either suits or tuxedos. But which should you wear for your wedding? Which is more stylish or appropriate?
Time was, a tuxedo was reserved purely for evening wear. If you’re playing the traditional game, you might want to preserve that etiquette.
But times change, and rules have relaxed, although there’s no getting around the fact that tuxes lend themselves better to more formal evening occasions. If you’re looking for tuxes only for your evening event, make sure your invite reads ‘black tie preferred’.
Opting for a suit can make you look more streamlined, and you’ll be in a better position to accessorize. If you’re playing the long game, you’ll also get much more wear out of your suit for business use long after the confetti’s been swept away.
Bear in mind that suits can add more color than a tuxedo, which limits you to black, midnight blue or white. You’ll also be restricted to wearing a tux with a white shirt, bow tie and cummerbund, while the dress shirt you wear with your suit can be any color you fancy.
From a technical point of view, it’s far easier to alter suits than tuxedos. There are none of the fancy satin details to worry about, and personalisation is easier. So fire away with your Disney socks, pocket square, or exotic ties.
Lastly, while suits are more practical and affordable, tuxedos do offer a kind of formal-yet-bohemian style.
